Minden Crimson Tide roll over Jena Leaders, 4-2

NATCHITOCHES – The Minden Crimson Tide got off to a solid start in this Natchitoches Tournament, picking up a 4-2 achievement against the Class 3A Jena Giants.
Minden dinged out eight hits together with John Volentine gave the Tide five strong innings on the mound before giving way to deeper Matt Eskew for the two-inning save.

It would be a cleanly-played game for the Tide, whom established themselves early on with a leadoff triple from Camron Dollar. Minden became timely hits from Rodney Velupe and Jeffrey Melton as well, and Eskew additionally had an important RBI single.

During Volentine’s 5 inninga, he allowed two gained runs and scattered some hits. Eskew struck out a couple of batters and allowed not any runs in his relief visual appearance.

Minden continues tournament play nowadays and tomorrow in Natchitoches.

Lakeside versus. Claiborne Christian

The Warriors fell 3-2 against Claiborne Religious in the Sterlington Tournament.

Clinging to a 2-0 cause heading to the sixth inning, Lakeside discovered Claiborne Christian strike for all three of their runs in that inning. The actual Warriors couldn’t rally to help regain the lead.

Dalton Crumpler finished 2-3 together with two singles for Lakeside, followed by Cameron Gray with an RBI single.
